Course Description:The course ‘Economic Environment of Business in India’ enables students to assess the environment, especially the macroeconomic environment, in which businesses operate. The emphasis is on studying the impact of macroeconomic policies on business performance, the role played by institutions – governments, monetary and financial institutions, and market institutions, and the macroeconomic consequences of globalization. The students are also introduced to a brief history of Indian economic development and the current state.
The course, carrying 4 credits, will comprise of the following modules.
